The USPTO has granted INLYSE a patent for its novel approach to the structural analysis and detection of malicious software.
INLYSE GmbH has announced the grant of a US patent for its visual AI based malware detection technology. The patent was granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, USPTO, on 23 December 2025 and protects a novel approach to the structural analysis and detection of malicious software.
The patented technology is based on the visual representation of binary code and its AI supported evaluation. Instead of relying on signatures or known patterns, the approach analyzes the internal structure of files. This makes it possible to reliably identify previously unknown, polymorphic or heavily obfuscated malware variants.
“With the US patent grant, our technological approach is now officially recognized in one of the world's most important markets. The patent underlines the innovative nature of our technology and confirms our decision to analyze malware structurally instead of relying purely on indicators.”
